About Captain Cole Sikes
Captain Cole Sikes is the Founder and President of Anchor Yacht Management. He began his career in the marine industry at the age of fifteen, fueled by a passion for fishing. Growing up in Texas, Cole was drawn to the charter boats in his hometown. He often spent his afternoons at the docks, offering to clean boats for the captains and assist in cleaning the fish they caught. On weekends, he would go out early to catch bait fish to sell to the charter boats.
At the age of sixteen, Cole started working as a mate on charter boats, where he fished for a variety of species, from blue marlin to speckled trout. When he turned eighteen, he earned his OUPV (6-pack) USCG captain's license and recognized that a career in the marine industry was his true calling.
After serving as captain on several charter vessels along the Gulf Coast and working on commercial vessels in the Gulf Coast oil field, Captain Cole moved to South Florida for the winter season of 2008. There, he managed several fishing boats in Miami-Dade and Broward County, balancing his winters in Florida with summers spent fishing in Texas and Louisiana.
In 2010, Captain Cole was recruited by BP Oil to oversee a fleet of search vessels during the BP Oil spill. Stationed in Panama City, Florida, and Houma, Louisiana, he managed a fleet of over fifty vessels and crew members. After the spill, he took a position on a 110-foot private yacht, where he pursued spear fishing world records. Two years later, he transitioned to a mate position on a 130-foot mega yacht.
After several years as Captain of various yachts ranging from 70 to 140 feet, Anchor Yacht Management was established, bringing large yacht services to vessels of all sizes.
